Health information disclaimer
Please read this before your child starts. I Beat Osgood shares Ethan's personal experience and general exercise information. A qualified health professional must first diagnose your child's knee pain as Osgood-Schlatter and advise whether the activities are suitable.

1. What the Program provides
The videos, routines, workouts, pain tracking, scheduling and parent information are general educational information. They are not individual medical advice, assessment or treatment, and do not diagnose, treat or cure a condition. Using the Program does not create a patient relationship with us.
The Program cannot account for every child's medical history, growth, symptoms or sporting demands. Follow your child's health professional's advice whenever it differs from the Program.
2. Ethan's experience and results
Ethan developed Osgood-Schlatter at 12 and recorded his own journey in 2025. He is not a doctor or physiotherapist; his basketball coaching is separate from health advice. The exercises are established exercises he learned from educational resources and his own physiotherapist, rather than exercises he invented.
Ethan's physiotherapist provided advice for his individual circumstances. The physiotherapist did not design or approve the Program, and that advice is not clearance for any other athlete. This Program shares Ethan's personal experience, including his pain records and return to sport. Every athlete is different, so progress and recovery times will vary. We do not guarantee any result, recovery time or return to sport. The eight-week structure is a guide, and your child should follow their own health professional's advice.
3. Pain tracking and progression
Pain ratings are subjective entries made by the athlete. Check in with your child yourself, because a score may not fully reflect their symptoms.
Green Zone means a recorded score of 0–3 out of 10. It is a monitoring guide, not permission to continue an activity that worsens symptoms. Red Zone means 4–10 out of 10: skip that day's Workout and tell a parent or supervising adult. Any gentle Daily Routine must remain comfortable; stop anything that makes the knee worse.
Pain zones, the 48-hour recovery rule, scheduled recovery days, program stages, the dashboard and Parent View organise or display entries. They do not diagnose a condition or confirm that the knee has recovered. Neither a low score nor reaching any week or stage gives medical clearance to progress or return to games. Make those decisions with appropriate individual professional guidance.
4. When to stop and seek help
Stop any exercise that makes symptoms worse. Seek advice from a GP, physiotherapist or sports doctor if pain persists, worsens or worries you, or Red Zone days keep happening.
Arrange professional assessment for swelling, redness or warmth; locking, catching or giving way; a limp; pain at rest or at night; pain after a fall or sudden injury; or symptoms affecting other joints. Do not assume these symptoms are Osgood-Schlatter.
Seek urgent medical attention if your child cannot bear weight, has severe sudden pain, or has a hot or swollen knee with fever or feels unwell. Do not use the Program to manage these symptoms.
5. Supervision and equipment
A parent or guardian must purchase and supervise the Program, which is intended for young athletes aged roughly 10–15. Supervise particularly when the athlete is learning exercises, adding weights or using a balance pad or foam roller.
Use a clear space, a stable non-slip surface and suitable equipment in good condition, following the manufacturer's instructions. Exercise and sport carry injury risks. Ask your child's health professional whether a knee strap or other support is suitable.
Equipment is purchased separately. Retailer links are for convenience; those retailers are responsible for their products and websites. This does not remove any responsibility we have under applicable law.
